POSITION: SWITCH SUPPORT SPECIALIST

JOB PURPOSE: This role is responsible for providing technical support to ensure the proper functioning of the Banks payment switch, ensuring seamless transaction routing between various payment channels, to maximize payment service delivery to the Banks customers.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers technical support for switch software and other components to maintain optimum functioning and ensure seamless business operations.
- Regularly monitors switch performance and attends to incident tasks to ensure rapid response to issues.
- Escalates technical issues to external service providers, where necessary and follow through for resolution to maintain seamless operations.
- Liaises with external services providers where necessary to deploy, upgrade and configure switch solutions to maintain quality service delivery for customers.
- Collaborates with other stakeholders to troubleshoot, identify and resolve switching issues timeously to ensure continued and uninterrupted service.
- Contributes to the development and documentation of laid down integration policies and procedures to ensure consistency in activities within the department.
- Performs periodic upgrades to switch software to ensure consistent channel availability.
- Ensures that switch functions adhere to compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conducts routine and regular maintenance activities, such as backups to ensure business continuity.
- Prepares periodic reports to aid in decision-making by management.
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information technology or relevant
- At least four (4) years' experience providing technical support to switch software
- Certification in Payment Switch Support (PCIP, AAP, CPP, etc) and/or IT Service Management (ITIL Foundation)
- Experience with payment switch applications and infrastructure.
