POSITION: Project Manager, PMO

JOB PURPOSE: The Project Manager will lead projects and programs and ensure their successful delivery. The role holder will be responsible for managing project teams, developing project plans, and overseeing project execution. The job holder will work closely with Project Portfolio Manager, Project managers, stakeholders, project sponsors, and executive leadership to ensure projects align with business objectives

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage a number of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business within approved scope, time and budget.
• Ensure the management of projects/programmes assigned, in line with the approved Project Management Policy, Governance Framework and Processes
• Prepare estimates, budgets and detailed project plans for all phases of the project
• Work with Business Analysts to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
• Work with relevant stakeholders to identify and assess risks; develop and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure project cost information is available and accurately tracked on the project management tool
• Work with the Project Change Management team to develop and implement change management plans to enable user/customer readiness for delivered projects.
• Ensure visibility of project progress, through effective communication to relevant stakeholders on project progress and by keeping all projects information up to date on the project management tool for PMO reporting.
• Make recommendations on project performance target for management/steerco decisions.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

• A Minimum of a first degree in Technology, Business Administration or related course.
• A Masters’ Degree will be an added advantage.
• Professional Certification in PRINCE 2 Project Management Methodology/ PMP required.

• Agile Certification is a plus

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing projects
