JOB PURPOSE The role holder is responsible for administering the operational activities of the records management unit.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish intellectual order (sorting, classifying, listing, Boxing, labelling and shelving of new consignments to make records retrieval easy and fast
- Transfer records from branches and departmental to the records centre in a standard and orderly manner to free up space at the branches and departments
- Make entries of all accessioned records into the system to obtain an updated record register.
- Conduct quarterly record appraisal to assess the need for their continued retention.
- Monitor and report on the work of outsourced records management service providers to ensure compliance.
- Retrieve all records loaned out to branches and departments in line with the company’s policy to ensure the availability of records at all time.
- Report all operational risks related to the operations of the Records/Archive Centre to ensure adherence to key control standards.
- Maintain and keep all records in a safe and secured environment to prolong the life of all records of the Bank.
QUALIFICATION/EXPE RIENCE:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in information systems or any related discipline.
- A Minimum of one (1) year of records management experience
