POSITION: Officer, Digital Fraud and Channels Monitoring

JOB PURPOSE: The role holder is responsible for monitoring transactions to ensure the Bank’s digital channels / products are protected from fraud.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor real time queues and identify high-risk transactions for appropriate actions by considering parameters such as spend limits, fraud assessment scores, rules, etc.
- Observe transactions to identify suspicious/fraudulent activities such as account take-over, friendly fraud, theft and similar other risks.
- Ensuring the enforcement of PCI DSS standards within the Card Data Environment.
- Identify fraudulent transactions and cancel them from further processing
- Obtain customers’ validation (via Contact Centre) to confirm or cancel authorization
- Monitor and take actions on account data compromise notifications received from the Payment Schemes- MasterCard, Visa, etc.
- Generate suspicious activity reports.
- Ensure confidentiality of all information collected during investigations.
- Assisting in the education/training of digital risk issues in the digital space.
- Ensuring that ATMs and all digital channels are up and running 24/7.
- Providing remote support for custodians on ATM issues and escalating issues for service provider resolution.
- Ensure all network related challenges and digital channel interface downtimes are reported to IT promptly for resolution
- Monitor card transactions and notify card services on customer challenges such as unsuccessful withdrawals, online transactions, etc.
- Monitor digital channels (IB, MB and USSD) transactions and notify system administrators on service downtimes and follow up for service restoration.
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in digital banking
