POSITION: Officer, Treasury Operations, Reconciliation and Investigation

JOB PURPOSE: The role holder is responsible for investigating and reconciling transactions across the general ledger and sub-ledgers together with other key accounts relating to Treasury transactions/activities.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicating with internal customers, counterparts, and correspondent banks on behalf of the team to improve processes and facilitate the effective working of the team.
• Reconciliation and proofing of Treasury Operations GL’s with regards to pay outs to/from counterparties.
• Perform call-over of processed transactions to ensure data entry accuracy.
• Assist with the Reconciliation of the Treasury Management system and operating accounts and/or records on spreadsheets against General Ledger and Nostro Accounts are carried out daily and at month ends with sign-offs put on file, and properly document any outstanding issues investigated
• Support the monitoring and investigation of suspense and transient accounts such as Foreign Exchange Trading, and Fixed Income Trading positions, Unmatched Confirmations, Unsettled positions, and escalate issues which have potential of causing the Bank financial and/or reputational loss.
• Attend to Nostro Investigations queries raised on Treasury-related transactions

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Business Commerce, Economics or a related field
• Professional certification in treasury management is an added advantage
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Treasury Operations
