POSITION: NETWORK AND COMMUNICATIONS ADMINISTRATOR

JOB PURPOSE: This role is responsible for providing technical support in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the bank's network infrastructure including hardware, software, and communication systems.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements both physical and wireless networks for use in the Bank.
- Applies standard operating procedures for equipment installation, configuration support, and network operations.
- Monitors, troubleshoots and resolves identified network issues to maintain network performance.
- Configures Virtual Private Networks for specific purposes.
- Operates and maintains Firewalls, switches, routers, Voice gateways and circuits for operational efficiency.
- Schedules system and software upgrades to maintain the performance of the banks network.
- Contributes to generating reports for use by management in planning and decision making.
- Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and new networking technologies to ensure that the Bank's network is optimized and efficient.
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science.
- A minimum of two (3) years’ experience in network management, preferably within the banking sector.
- Certification in Networking (CCNA, Network+) and/or IT Service Management (ITIL Foundation)
- Certification in Cloud Computing Technologies (AWS, Azure, Google) especially relating to network administration
